One of the most interessant relations of the TV Show "Lost" is unmistakably the one that maintain Kate and Sawyer. Here is a brief summary of their the beginning.

Since the beginning of the adventure, there is a link between Kate and Sawyer but Kate is attracted by another man than Sawyer, Jack, the doctor. Kate and Sawyer manage to understand each other, they have both a tortuous past and suffer from it. Kate, during the first season, tries to understand Sawyer, why he is auto-destructive and why he tries be hated by other survivors. She is then going to discover things of his childhood thanks to a letter from Sawyer.
After Sawyer has been tortured by Saïd, Sawyer asks for a kiss to Kate in order to get back medicines to help Shannon. She is the only one to have some influence on him and lends herself to this.
Kate and Sawyer are going to play "I never" both what will make us learn full of things on both characters and Kate is going to help him to take revenge for a wild boar to have " white card "on him. In the last minute, he doesn't kill the animal.
At the end of the season 1, A la fin de la saison 1, they quarrel to have a place on the raft, Sawyer reveals then to the others Kate's real identity. They go away each from their part and have no time to say goodbye. Sawyer is fired above by the others at the raft and grave into the sea.

When Sun discovers the bottle containing the messages of the survivors, Kate looks for desesperatly Sawyer's message, she told Sun that they didn't get to say goodbye. During the return of Sawyer hurt with the survivors of the other part of the plane, she spends a lot of time with him.
An important moment is when Jack and Sawyer are alone, a delirious Sawyer asks about Kate, and then says he loves her.And kate admits that everytime she feels something for Sawyer.
Sawyer gets jealous when Kate goes with Jack in a mission to rescue Michael from the "others" at the jungle and he has sex with Anna Lucia who wants his gun.
Kate and Sawyer during this season spend a lot of time together, Kate seems to want to become reconcilied with him but Anna Lucia whith whom Jack is very close highlights her jealousy. Kate is still pulled between the two men in the island.
Kate, Jack, and Sawyer were captured by the others.

During the seanson 3, the relationsip between Kate and Sawyer takes a decisive bend. Jack is held prisoner by the others somewhere else and Kate and Sawyer are being kept in two separate cages opposite each other
At one moment, when they work on fields, Sawyer looks intessement at Kate and rushes on her and kisses her, what is worth to him knocks and an electric discharge. Juliet threatens to kill Kate.
When Sawyer is violently punched, Kate confesses that she loves him, but later, when she tries to escape and Sawyer refuses to escape with her, she says to Sawyer that she only said it so that Pickett would stop hitting him.
Kate is taken to see Jack, and she asks him to do the surgery on Ben that he was asked to do because they are going to kill Sawyer if he doesn't do it. Kate escapes another time and she opens Sawyer's cage again and demands that they leave now. She kisses him after Sawyer confesses that they weren't on their ismand and they have nowhere to go. They make love inside Sawyer's cage and they admit their feelings. Jack sees them with the monitor, he seems affected.
The next day thanks to Jack, Kate and Sawyer succeed in escaping but Kate Kate wants to go back to save Jack, but Sawyer refuses. They argue over and over about this and Sawyer tells her not to take it out on him because she feels guilty. Kate back to the beach goes in a mission to savec Jack with Sayid, Locke abd Rousseau but Sawyer doesn't go with them. He worries about her and he he misses her. When she returns, they share a long, passionate hug.
Juliet comes back with them and sows the doubt in Kate by revealing her that she broke the heart of Jack. Kate does not know how to react any more. An evening, she sees him with Juliet sharing a pleasant moment and she goes then in the aunt of Sawyer crying and they spend the night together.
The day after, Sawyer finds out that Kate saw Jack and Juliet together and when he gives her the mixtape he confronts her about it. She says it's not like that and he replies that she doesn't have to use him, she just has to ask.
At the end of the season 3, Sawyer is very distant with Kate, she tells him that it's as if nothing more counted for him. He then wants to go away and rejects her. Jack says to her when Sawyer and Juliet returnsto the camp that it is to protect herthat Sawyer makes it and Jack admit to Kate that he loves her too.
